The electric car revolution has become a hot investing theme in recent years as many believe it will transform the future of transport. Currently, what is driving EV development are the “push” factors on the supply side. Electric and hybrid car technicians have developed into high-tech problem solvers who must have an increasingly broad base of knowledge about how the electric and hybrid cars' complex components work and interact. They must also have the ability to work with electronic diagnostic equipment and computer-based technical reference materials. Electric and hybrid car technicians use their high-tech skills to diagnose, inspect and replace electric and hybrid car component.

This area has a high potential job market for skilled personnel in Malaysia. The technician has very wide opportunities in all automotive manufacturing company and service centre. They also can be employed in independant workshop that offer repairing services for electric and hybrid car.
