This course exposes trainees to Computer Systems. Trainers will study the following course syllabus:
1. Computer System Set Up
-Introduction to computer hardware (CPU, RAM, hard drive, motherboard, etc.).
-Installing operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
-Setting up basic software such as drivers and productivity applications.
-Network and internet connectivity setup.
-Setting up additional peripherals like printers and scanners.
2. Computer System Maintenance
-Ensuring the computer runs smoothly (improving speed, avoiding issues).
-Storage management (freeing up disk space, clearing cache, etc.).
-Software maintenance (system and application updates).
-Hardware maintenance (internal cleaning, temperature monitoring).
-Computer security practices (data backups, antivirus checks).
3. Computer System Repair
-Diagnosing computer issues (hardware or software).
-Replacing damaged hardware components (e.g., RAM, hard drive).
-Fixing operating system malfunctions.
-Troubleshooting software issues such as application failures or viruses.
-Using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques.
4. Server Installation
-Introduction to servers and different types (web server, file server, database server).
-Installing and configuring server operating systems (Linux Server, Windows Server).
-Setting up storage and network configurations for the server.
-Configuring server services (e.g., DNS, DHCP).
-Managing users and permissions.
5. Server Maintenance
-Monitoring server performance (CPU, RAM, disk usage).
-Managing and performing backups and data recovery.
-Updating server software for security and performance.
-Troubleshooting server issues and managing logs.
-Managing user access and security software.
6. Computer Network Connectivity Set Up
-Introduction to computer networks (LAN, WAN).
-Connecting computers to a network (wired or wireless).
-Setting up routers, switches, and access points.
-Configuring IP addresses and network protocols.
-Troubleshooting network connections and reliability issues.
7. Mobile Device Configuration
-Setting up smartphones and tablets for personal or corporate use.
-Configuring mobile operating systems (Android, iOS).
-Installing essential apps and ensuring device security.
-Managing mobile devices within an organization (MDM - Mobile Device Management).
-Troubleshooting mobile device issues.
