The Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Air Conditioning and Industrial Refrigeration programme integrates four basic disciplines of engineering; the combination of mechanical, electrical, electronics and computer and software engineering technology. The study of Air Conditioning and Industrial Refrigeration involves aspects of Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning Design as the role of Consultancy, contractors, solution provider and mechanical engineering together with an understanding of Troubleshooting and Commissioning.
Programme Aims
The B.E.T in Air Conditioning and Industrial Refrigeration Programme aims to support Malaysia’s aspirations to become an industrialized nation by nurturing skillful, resilient, responsible and globally recognized in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and systems maintenance in producing Engineering Technologists with technopreneurial skills that are relevant to societal and Malaysia economic growth.
Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)
The PEOs are the expected attributes of the graduates of BET in Air Conditioning and Industrial Refrigeration 3-5 years after graduation. Our objectives are:

Competent and forward-thinking in machine manufacturing, and capable of pursuing business and technopreneurial ventures
PEO 2
Effective leaders who demonstrate professionalism, ethics, social responsibility, and a commitment to sustainability, with good teamwork and communication skills

Committed to lifelong learning, continuous improvement, and personal growth
Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
Upon graduation, the students of BET in Air Conditioning and Industrial Refrigeration are expected to have the ability to:
PLO 1 Knowledge
Apply knowledge of mathematics, natural science, computing and engineering fundamentals and machine manufacturing specialization as specified in SK1 to SK4 respectively to defined and applied engineering procedures, processes, systems or methodologies
PLO 2 Problem analysis
Identify, formulate, research literature and analyse broadly-defined engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using analytical tools appropriate to their discipline or area of specialisation with considerations for sustainable development
PLO 3 Design/development of solutions
Design solutions for broadly-defined Industrial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning engineering technology problems and contribute to the design of systems, components or processes to meet identified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, whole-life cost, net zero carbon as well as resource, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations as required
PLO 4 Investigation
Conduct investigations of broadly-defined Industrial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning engineering problems; locate, search and select relevant data from codes, data bases and literature, design and conduct experiments to provide valid conclusions
PLO 5 Tool Usage
Select and apply, and recognize limitations of appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modelling, to broadlydefined Industrial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning engineering problems
PLO 6 The Engineering Technologist and the World
Analyze and evaluate sustainable development impacts t.o: society, the economy, sustainability, health and safety, legal frameworks, and the environment, in solving broadly-defined engineering problems
PLO 7 Ethics
Understand and commit to professional ethics and norms ofengineering technology practice and adhere to relevant national and international laws. Demonstrate an understanding of the need for diversity and inclusion
PLO 8 Individual and Collaborative Team Work
Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse and inclusive teams and in multi-disciplinary, face-to-face, remote and distributed settings
PLO 9 Communications
Communicate effectively and inclusively on broadly defined Industrial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, by being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, taking into account cultural, language, and learning differences.
PLO 10 Project Management and Finance
Apply knowledge and understanding of Industrial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning engineering management principles and economic decision-making to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team and to manage projects in multidisciplinary environments.
PLO 11 Lifelong Learning
Recognize the need for, and have the ability for i) independent and life-long learning and ii) critical thinking in the face of new specialist technologies

Jenis Sijil/Diploma : Diploma (Selain Diploma Kemahiran)
Mempunyai Diploma Vokasional Malaysia Dari Institusi yang mempunyai akreditasi penuh (Full Akreditasi) dari MQA atau mana-mana badan pengikhtirafan yang diluluskan Kerajaan Malaysia
